The suitable candidate will be working in the Protein Sciences group within the Pre-Clinical and Clinical Research group of the I&DL department. The Protein Sciences group is involved in the generation of stable cell lines (CLG) expressing monoclonal antibodies against infectious diseases and the manufacturing and characterization (USP, DSP and Assays) of material for proof of concept studies in animal models. Besides the generation of material for proof of concept studies the group is involved in upstream process activities to support cell line selection.
Job Description:
The (senior) technician will be involved in the planning, set-up, implementation, documentation and trouble shooting of experiments and protocols within the cell technology team. The cell technology team is responsible for generation of stable cell lines of PER.C6® cells expressing monoclonal antibodies against infectious diseases and for the production of crude harvests of these monoclonal antibodies. Furthermore, the cell technology team explores a variety of process parameters of the PER.C6® cell lines expressing the monoclonal antibodies to optimize the production of material for animal studies and to prepare for transfer of these cell lines to the process development department. Additionally, the (senior) technician will review data and write documents such as study plans and reports.
Minimum Qualifications:
We are looking for a motivated individual with HLO education. Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture, adherent or suspension, with shaker cultures, roller bottle cultures and/or bioreactor processes is required. Experience with cell line generation is preferred.
